Travel Information
Whether you're flying in or driving down — we've gathered all the essential travel info to make your journey to Salsomaggiore Terme easy and stress-free. Below you'll find tips on flights, border crossings, and local transportation once you're here.
Flying
Most guests fly into Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) or Milan Linate Airport (LIN), which offer the most frequent and affordable international options. Milan is about a 1.5–2 hour drive from Salsomaggiore Terme.
Major airlines flying into Milan include: ITA Airways, Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, Emirates, United Airlines, Delta, and many others.
From Milan, you can rent a car, take a train to Fidenza (the nearest station), or book a private transfer/shuttle. Group transport options will also be available (see below).
Pro tip: We recommend booking flights and trains well in advance — late May is the start of the busy summer travel season in Italy.
Driving
If you’re up for a scenic drive, renting a car and driving through northern Italy is a fun and flexible way to travel — especially if you want to explore the countryside at your own pace.
Approximate drive times:
From Milan: 1.5–2 hours
From Bologna: 1.5 hours
From Florence: 2.5 hours
What you’ll need:
A valid passport
Toll fees: Most Italian highways have tolls — you can pay by cash or card at the booths.
